Social Media
A Mwldan | Astar Artes Co-Production
A sublime and multi award-winning harp and kora collaboration between two acclaimed virtuosos, Welsh harpist Catrin Finch and Senegalese kora player Seckou Keita join forces in a stunning exhibition of world-class musicianship. Drawing on their diverse traditions and transforming them with remarkable synergy; Mandinka rhythms mix effortlessly with Welsh tunes, with hypnotic improvisations from both in a set which is at once exhilarating and mesmerising.
Winners of fRoots Critics Poll Album of the Year 2013, Songlines Best Cross-Cultural Collaboration 2014, and nominated for two BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards (Best Duo and Best Traditional Track) in 2014, their debut album Clychau Dibon has attracted huge critical acclaim and a clutch of 4 and 5 * reviews from national and industry press.
