Theatr Mwldan Film Society is an award-winning charity that has been bringing the best of arthouse cinema to West Wales for more than 25 years. On Sunday evenings from September to May we screen a carefully curated season of exceptional movies. The films range from world cinema through to British independent film, compelling documentaries and animations. We aim to give people in West Wales the opportunity to enjoy thought-provoking films on the big screen. The inaugural TMFS Festival Weekend explores the themes of ‘Land and Freedom’ (6 - 8 February). The power of cinema to transport us across the globe and to bring us stories from afar is testament to the place storytelling has in our lives. Special guests will appear for post screening Q&As as well as post film discussions for audiences.

Membership details:

Annual Full membership entitles you to enjoy 15 Film Society films at no further cost. It is valid from date of purchase to 2 September 2026. It also entitles you to a £2.50 saving for an adult full price, or £1.80 saving for concessions, on all standard cinema screenings*.

You will also receive a Film Society card that you can collect from the Mwldan box office.

*excludes 3D cinema, live broadcast events and alternative content screenings.

There is also the opportunity to create a Joint Membership Account should you wish. This means you can buy two memberships under one account, enabling you to reserve seats and buy tickets for two different memberships either separately or together. It's ideal for people who regularly book two seats together and saves logging in to two separate accounts. The price of a joint membership is the same as if you were buying the memberships separately.

A Ticketsaver card entitles you to free admission to 3 Film Society screenings within a 12-month period plus a £2.50 saving for an adult full price or £1.80 saving for concessions on all standard cinema screenings*. Ticketsaver cards are valid for one year from the date of purchase and can be purchased at any time in the year.

You will also receive a Film Society card that you can collect from the Mwldan box office.

Our Young Person’s Full Membership is for people aged 16-30. It entitles you to enjoy 15 Film Society films at no further cost. It is valid from date of purchase to 2 September 2026. It also entitles you to a £2.50 saving for an adult full price, or £1.80 saving for concessions, on all standard cinema screenings*. If you are under 18 you will not be allowed into films certified 18 and no refund will be applicable. Please check the certificate before booking.

When you collect your Film Society membership card from the Mwldan box office you will be required to provide proof of age.

The Film Festival Weekend Pass (Feb 6–8) costs £15 per person, and gives you access to all five screenings over that weekend.

•Without a Film Festival pass: Each screening costs £4 per person.
