Mwldan welcomes Hannah Firth as New CEO and Creative Director

Mwldan is delighted to announce the appointment of Hannah Firth as its new Chief Executive and Creative Director. Hannah Firth will take up her post towards the end of the year, when Dilwyn Davies steps down after a 33-year tenure as Chief Executive.
Hannah joins the organisation after a 25-year career at Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff, where she currently holds the role of Artistic Director and Co-Director.
Hannah’s journey in the arts sector began with a strong foundation in visual art, design, and film. Notably, she has twice curated and directed exhibitions representing Wales at the prestigious Venice Biennale. Since joining Chapter in
2001 as Head of Visual Art, she has played an instrumental role in the organisation, rising to Head of Programme and Deputy Director in 2016. Most recently, in 2023, Hannah was appointed Chapter’s Artistic Director and Co-Director.
With her extensive experience in programming and managing key functions at Chapter, Hannah has a proven track record as a dedicated and respected leader. She has cultivated vital relationships with funders, including the Arts Council of Wales, and possesses an in-depth knowledge of the arts sector in Wales. Her experience in navigating the Welsh cultural landscape will be invaluable to Mwldan as it continues to grow as one of Wales’ most celebrated cultural institutions.
