Keeping the Other Voices Cardigan Spirit Alive
Following the announcement that Other Voices Cardigan is taking a fallow year in 2026, we promised we wouldn’t let October pass without a celebration of incredible live music in our town. Today, the ABERTEIFI LIVE collective is thrilled to share the first wave of artists for our brand-new grassroots music weekend on 30–31 October 2026.
Over the course of two days, more than 40 live gigs will take over five of Cardigan’s most beloved independent venues: Mwldan, Small World Theatre, Bethania, GRAIN and The Cellar.
We have curated a line-up designed to capture that intimate, unmistakable festival magic that transforms Aberteifi every autumn, spanning folk, grime, indie, soul and electronica and much, much more…
Mared: The acclaimed, award-winning musician brings her stunning, atmospheric blend of poetic bilingual storytelling and warm indie-folk melodies to the festival line-up.
Lemoncello: The spellbinding Irish alt-folk duo return to Cardigan, bringing their immersive, cello-driven melodies and breath-taking vocals to town.
Filmore!: Welcoming back the brilliant shapeshifting hyperpop - punk energy of this certified crowd-favourite.
Mace The Great: The Welsh Music Prize-nominated hip-hop artist from Cardiff delivers razor-sharp lyricism and high-energy contemporary grime.
Tessio: Derry duo captivate audiences with their stunning acoustic storytelling, intricate guitar work, and close, warm vocal harmonies.
SLATE: The fast-rising Cardiff four-piece bring their atmospheric, moody post-punk and poetic, gothic rock energy to the weekend.
Cerys Hafana: This singular multi-instrumentalist transforms traditional sounds with their mesmerising, progressive triple-harp soundscapes and vocals.
Tokomololo: Feel-good, dancefloor electronica infused with Welsh vocals.
Kizzy Crawford: The acclaimed singer-songwriter fuses her sophisticated, bilingual blend of folk, soul, and jazz into something quite lovely.
MORN: Weaving lush, evocative soundscapes that balance indie textures with powerful, alternative rhythms.
+ more to be announced!
An Independent, Home-Grown Offering
Cardigan is a deeply special place for culture, and this festival is a true labour of love. The ABERTEIFI LIVE collective is a partnership formed of local music champions: Mwldan, Fflach, Small World Theatre, The Cellar and GRAIN.
Because this event is stepping into a fallow year, it is operating entirely without public subsidy. It is funded 100% by ticket sales and the incredible generosity of our local business sponsors. We have intentionally kept ticket prices to an absolute minimum (£55 for adults, and just £15 for Under 18s) to ensure the whole community can join the party.
Because of the intimate nature of the event, capacity is limited. The best way to show your support for Cardigan’s autumn festival weekend is to gather your gig buddies, book your tickets early and help us spread the word.
Join us to make this an unmissable weekend of live music and magic!
