Gŵyl ABERTEIFI LIVE - Full Programme Announced!
Posted: 07 October 2026
Since 2019, Mwldan has delivered 5 editions of the Other Voices festival in Aberteifi alongside our partners. Each one has been a life-affirming experience, uniting our community in a celebration of music, culture, language, ideas, enjoyment and helping to make our precious town a very special place. It has taken considerable financial support from Welsh and Irish Governments, which has also celebrated and reaffirmed the special links between Wales and Ireland.
Sadly, in 2026, we have been unable to secure enough funding to enable a normal edition of Other Voices to take place. But we felt we had to try to make something happen until we can hopefully bring back a full edition of Other Voices in 2027.
So, along with our community partners - The Cellar, Small World Theatre, GRAIN, Fflach Cymunedol and Bethania Chapel - we are giving you Gŵyl ABERTEIFI LIVE 2026 - two days of music across five venues featuring more than 45 sets from 15 bands/artists on 30 & 31 October 2026. It’s like a half-sized Other Voices, but with the same spirit, the same great music, the same vibe and the same celebration of culture.
And it features artists from Wales and Ireland, including some old favourites from past Other Voices as well as some new ones to discover.
This time, the festival has zero funding subsidy and every cost of the festival must be covered by ticket sales and local business sponsorship. And Mwldan is risking the financial underwriting of the festival in order to make something amazing happen. We have kept the price of tickets to an absolute minimum whilst paying everyone who is taking part as artist or crew with a proper fee.
If you care, and want to help us, you can support this local, independent live music festival best by buying tickets early, encouraging your friends and family to come along from near and far, and to come along yourselves to make sure it’s another huge success for Aberteifi and its community.
