Volunteering and Work Experience at Mwldan

'The Mwldan is a unique and special place, by volunteering I hope I can help keep it that way. It's a privilege to have the opportunity to give back to the community.

The Mwldan shows are an eclectic mix of entertainment, as a volunteer I hope in a small way I can support this wonderful asset to the community. By volunteering I feel part of a friendly, professional, dedicated team.'

Are you passionate about the arts and supporting the work we do? You can make a difference to the community in which you live and meet like-minded people through volunteering with us here at Mwldan.

Volunteers have always been—and continue to be—an essential part of the development and day-to-day running of our venue and its cultural scene.

Our front-of-house team is made up of paid staff and many volunteers from all walks of life and around the Cardigan area. These volunteers kindly give up their time to carry out a variety of roles, from monitoring the audience during shows and screenings, tearing tickets, to working behind our bar.

We couldn’t do it without them, and we always have space for one more!

Please note you must be 16+ to volunteer. 

 

Why Volunteer?

There are many reasons why people volunteer, here’s just a few…

  • •Meet new people, make new friends and spend time in a creative environment with a wide range of people, from all backgrounds and locations across Cardigan.
  • •Get involved in the delivery of Mwldan’s year-round programme of cinema and live events, including the Other Voices Cardigan Festival and our Cardigan Castle events.

  • •Volunteers will receive a complimentary ticket for the events they are volunteering for. A great way to see things for free!
  • •As a volunteer you will be able to enjoy Mwldan’s extensive programme, particularly useful for those studying Music, Literature, Media or Theatre Studies at any level or those looking to make a career in the arts.
  • •Experience a wide range of duties alongside our team of full-time staff.
