Orban Wallace | UK | 2025 | 89’
Our Land is a bold and timely documentary that follows the growing access movement. It captures the tension between public campaigners fighting for greater access to nature and landowners. Blending historical context with present-day action, the film explores the deeply rooted issues of access, ownership and conservation, and asks the urgent question: who truly has the right to roam?
“Our Land is about starting a conversation — crossing divides to explore our shared sense of belonging and to reimagine our future relationship with the land and nature of the UK”, said director Orban Wallace.
- •We are delighted to be joined in person by Our Land director Orban Wallace for a live Q&A session following the screening.
Theatr Mwldan Film Society present:
Land and Freedom Film Festival
Special guests will appear for post screening Q&As as well as post film discussions for audiences. We hope the films stimulate and provoke visions of what 'land and freedom' might look like.
The inaugural TMFS Festival Weekend explores the themes of ‘Land and Freedom’. The power of cinema to transport us across the globe and to bring us stories from afar is testament to the place storytelling has in our lives. The selected films range from Mesopotamia to Kenya; deep time from the perspective of a solitary tree; conflict over the very ground we stand on; and an anthology of international animation shorts.
• 'Land + Freedom' Film Festival Weekend Pass - £15
The Film Festival Weekend Pass (Feb 6–8) costs £15 per person, and gives you access to all five screenings over that weekend.
