Dafydd Owain is an artist from Caernarfon whose work has quickly established him as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary Welsh music.
He released his first album as a solo artist in 2023, earning nominations for both the Welsh Music Prize and Welsh-language Album of the Year. In October 2025, he followed with his second album, ‘Ymarfer Byw’, released to widespread critical acclaim. The record was heralded as one of the best albums of the year and described by Nation.Cymru as “one of the most important albums from Wales this decade.” Ymarfer Byw (Live) captures the emotionality of his latest release in a raw, immersive performance.
