Our Values
Our values guide everything we do. At Mwldan’s heart is the belief that the arts can deliver life-changing and life-enhancing experiences that have the power to change perceptions and increase tolerance, breaking down cultural divides and allowing greater understanding – as relevant for the community we live in as it is for the planet we live on. We are a not-for-profit organisation that combines economic activity with a social and ethical purpose. We believe access to the arts enriches lives, promotes well-being, and helps to create a strong sense of community and belonging. This vision is at the core of Mwldan and all its activities.

Access and Wellbeing
We believe that access to the arts is essential for a fulfilling life and is essential to wellbeing.

Inclusivity and Diversity
We are an inclusive venue. Everyone is welcome and we do not tolerate discrimination of any kind. We embrace cultural, social and linguistic differences.

We're ambitious in our reach
We celebrate the local and the global. Our vision extends well beyond the four walls of our home building in Cardigan. Through our unique and ambitious projects, we aim to make meaningful music experiences and opportunities for everyone, whether that's at home, online, through our recorded releases, touring productions or festival and external events.

Sustainability and Integrity
We are committed to environmental sustainability and uphold integrity, accountability, and kindness in all our actions. We believe that our actions, positive or negative, however small, can have a big impact on our environment and our future. We are local and we are global and recognise that one cannot survive without the other.

Collaboration and Community
We believe in partnership and collaboration and shared creative experiences with our community, near and far, in person or online.

Language and Identity
We believe that language is an integral part of a person’s identity and culture and we are committed to providing a bilingual venue working in Welsh and English where individuals can express themselves in their preferred language, and feel comfortable to practice, the language they are learning.
We proudly embrace our bilingual heritage; we have completed our 'Cynnig Cymraeg' and we encourage you to engage with us in Welsh, no matter how you connect. Some of our staff are fluent and some are learners, but practice makes perfect for all of us!

Quality Experience
We strive for excellence in all our endeavours, aiming for a high-quality experience both on and off the stage.

We're passionate about music
We are independent presenters of high-quality live music and events, with over 20 years’ experience in touring production from grassroots to large-scale concerts, festivals and tours, and over 40 years presenting our programme at home in Cardigan. We are creators of innovative new collaborations, cultural events and facilitators of development schemes to help nurture emerging talent. Our mission is to curate and produce an original programme that engages a wide range of audiences and communities and paves the way for both emerging artists and the next generation of creatives both at home in Cardigan and globally. We aim to make meaningful music experiences and opportunities for everyone.
