The fourth of writer and director Joanna Hogg’s feature flms is a semi-autobiographical masterpiece exploring the nature of memory. The film stars Honor Swinton Byrne as Julie, during a pivotal point in her life and career. Set in the 1980s, this is social realism, but with its focus turned squarely towards the upper classes. Tom Burke stars as her lofty and troubled lover, Tilda Swinton as her on-screen mum.
