Josephine Sowden was awarded the Gold Medal at the 2013 National Eisteddfod for her video ‘The Lilies of the Field’ and since then has continued to make work which investigates the inherent underlying madness of modern humanity.

Using digital media, her projects explore the ‘Fall of Man’ triggered by the birth of Monotheism and the rise of Patriarchy, and how both altered the evolution of the Earth and the human race.
