Attendant Position
Theatr Mwldan is looking for a Sunday Attendant. The position entails ushering and some bar work. All applicants must be aged 16+. The pay is minimum wage according to your age bracket. The hours are every Sunday and an extra 2/3 weekdays during school holidays. The start date is end of May. Previous experience not necessary. Knowledge of Welsh language desirable but not essential.

Appointment: Marketing Manager (Full Time, permanent contract)
Theatr Mwldan, Cardigan wishes to appoint a Marketing Manager from 1st July 2008. The successful candidate will lead the marketing operation of the Mwldan Group. Applicants should have substantial proven marketing experience, a passion for the arts and experience of creative and digital-based media disciplines. The ability to work in Welsh is desirable for this post, but not essential.

Theatr Mwldan seeks a Technical Manager.
The successful candidate will combine technical knowledge, experience of live performance and a proven track record of successful management skills. The Technical Manager will lead our technical team, and is responsible for delivering the theatre’s presentation programme and managing technical services for a busy venue that presents more than 100 live performances and 1,700 film screenings per year. Do you need a wheelchair space in the auditorium? Are you Deaf or hard of hearing, blind or visually impaired and would like to enjoy the cinema with Subtitled or Audio Described screenings? Have any specific access requirements? Then join Theatr Mwldan’s Access Club!

Theatr Mwldan is committed to offering the best access possible to all it’s customers. The purpose of the Access Club is to improve the experience of our customers by making their visit to our venue as Accessible as possible.

By simply giving your access club number when booking tickets we can look up all your access information. This limits the length of the transaction and means you won’t have to answer the same questions every time you book!

Joining the club is completely free. All you need to do is fill out a form. If you would require assistance doing this please let us know. Forms are available in English or Welsh and in Standard or Large print format.

Lines & Strata: Winner Announced
The winners of the Lines and Strata People’s Prize and Flach Recording Studios Prize were announced at a packed reception held in Oriel Mwldan on Tuesday (18th) night.

Winner of the £300 People’s Prize, presented on the evening by Audrey Walker O.B.E., was Trudi Finch for her drypoint etching titled Red Hen. Her charming work received the most votes from the public visiting the exhibition.

Wynne Jones of Fflach Recording Studios presented the £100 Fflach Prize to Gail Gauden for her charcoal drawing Sheltered.

The Lines and Strata exhibition, currently on show at Oriel Mwldan, has been extremely well-received. The range and depth of work selected for the exhibition has succeeded in provoking debate about what drawing might be.

You still have time to catch this thought provoking exhibition, which will be on show at Oriel Mwldan, Cardigan until April 26th.

Battle of The Bands
AMP Festival and Theatr Mwldan, in conjuction with Menter Aberteifi, are proud to present the second AMP Gŵyl A-Beat-Teifi / Battle of the Bands competition. We will be selecting four bands/artists to battle it out in this final to be held in the main Mwldan 2 auditorium of Theatr Mwldan. The first prize is £200, second prize is £100 with the other two finalists each receiving £50 consolation prizes. This is a bi-lingual event for all types of bands/artists. December 2005 Mwldan among the top 4 venues in Wales!
We’ve just discovered that the Welcome Host Wales scheme has recently conducted a secret survey of all the theatres in Wales. All venues were assessed across a range of criteria, including enquiry handling, parking facilities, accessibility, overall welcome and overall impression. We’re delighted to report that we achieved a score of 89 out of a possible 100, and were placed 4th out of 34, just two points off the overall winner.

October 2005 Soaring Admission Figures!
Since the opening of the fully refurbished new venue in June 2004, Theatr Mwldan's attendance figures have soared. Theatr Mwldan has an average of more than 5,000 visitors pass through its entrance doors every week. Admission figures to the two auditoria in the newly developed Theatr Mwldan have exceeded expectations. This immediate success of the project has enabled Theatr Mwldan to look to the future with confidence. In its first full year of operation, the new Theatr Mwldan has seen...

The total number of attendances at live professional performances increase by 154%

September 2005 A Regional Performing Arts Centre
Theatr Mwldan has recently been recognised as a Regional Performing Arts Centre by The Arts Council of Wales. This new strategic role includes a remit for production and origination of performance, specialising in world & traditional music, drama and music theatre, and co-promoting and co-producing tours of artistic excellence.

September 2005 Picasso Exhibition
Oriel Mwldan's recent exhibition of Picasso prints entitled Histoire Naturelle in September/October 2005 was a huge success. It marked a new collaboration with the Hayward Gallery in London, who originated and toured the exhibition to selected galleries in the UK. We're delighted to confirm that Oriel Mwldan will now go onto to present another touring exhibition from the Hayward with work by Goya being exhibited in September 2006.
