Cardigan Art Society

A group of local amateur and professional artists who exhibit annually in Oriel Mwldan.

Cardigan Theatre

Cardigan Theatre

A local amateur drama company who originally established Theatr Mwldan in 1987. Cardigan Theatre present three to four productions a year at Theatr Mwldan and each production offers young local talent the chance to perform on the main Mwldan stage. Productions include Blithe Sprit, Snake In The Grass and an annual Christmas production.

Cardigan Youth Theatre

Cardigan Youth Theatre

A local drama company for young people, Cardigan Youth Theatre meets on Saturdays throughout the school term in Mwldan 3 at Theatr Mwldan. Sessions are led by professional actor and drama teacher Vanya Constant. Juniors (ages 8 – 12)10.30am – 12.30pm and seniors (ages 13 – 18) 1.30pm – 3.30pm. Cost: £3 a session.

 

Opera Teifi

A highly successful local amateur opera company who typically present two productions a year, attracting large enthusiastic audiences. Past shows include Pirates of Penzance, Kismet and Guys and Dolls. Opera Teifi also perform original Welsh language productions

The Peter Gould Music Trust

The Peter Gould Music Trust


The Peter Gould Music Trust promotes an excellent annual programme of classical music concerts at Theatr Mwldan and helps to encourage young musicians to develop their skills. With Arts Council of Wales Lottery funding, the Trust has recently acquired a Steinway Model C concert grand piano and a Steinway Boston upright piano, both of which are located at Theatr Mwldan and are available for community use. Recent highlights of the Trust’s programme have included the inaugural recital on the concert grand piani by Nikolai Demidenko and the commissioning of a work by Adrian Williams for the Galliard Ensemble, former members of BBC Radio 3’s New Generation Artist scheme. The Trust is managed by a voluntary Board of Trustees

Theatr Mwldan Film Society

Theatr Mwldan Film Society is an award-winning and non-profit-making organisation dedicated to screening the best new releases in world cinema, and offers the chance to enjoy many films which would otherwise remain unseen in West Wales. TMFS presents 25 regular Sunday screenings from September to March each year. TMFS screenings are open to everyone – simply pay per film in advance or on the door (seat availability permitting) or choose from two fantastic membership packages that offer substantial savings. Cilgerran PlayersCardigan

Cwmni Drama Bryn Mair are a local Welsh language amateur drama group who perform at Mwldan on an annual basis.

Cwmni Drama Llandudoch are a local Welsh language amateur drama group who perform at Mwldan on an annual basis.

Cwmni Drama Mochyn Ddu are a local Welsh language amateur drama group who perform at Mwldan on an annual basis.

CFfI Penparc YFC are a local young farmers group who perform in the Welsh language and present reviews and productions at Theatr Mwldan on an annual basis.

Cilgerran Players are a local English language amateur drama group who have presented one production at Theatr Mwldan.

Moose International present St David’s Day concerts at Theatr Mwldan on March 1st every year. The concerts feature local artists and choirs and all proceeds are donated to selected charities.

A number of community organisations also exhibit in Oriel Mwldan.
