Sean Vicary
Personal Statement
Sean Vicary originally studied Fine Art, training as a landscape
painter, but became increasingly seduced by the possibilities of
working in time-based media.
His work is still primarily concerned with the natural world and
our place in it. He uses found objects and fragments of detritus
to explore this relationship, assembling these elements in a virtual
space to create animated collages.
He has produced a number of short films that have been shown at
various festivals throughout the UK and his latest piece “TOLL”,
made under the “Animate It!” initiative for S4C and
Sgrîn, is due to be broadcast later this year.
Sean is currently based at Creative Mwldan Creadigidol in Cardigan
