Theatr Mwldan is home to festivals
throughout the year
In January
and February ...
MWLDAN film festival celebrates
the many riches of cinema and the very best current international
film for two weeks in January and February. The festivals is now
in its 11th year and has seen audiences soar to a massive 126% increase
in the past few years. The aim of the festival is to celebrate the
many riches of cinema while being entertained, moved and enlightened
by some of the very best in cinema form home and away.
In March ...
Wales One World (WOW!) Film Festival
is an international celebration of films and the unique power they
have to move people, inspire them and ultimately even change their
lives forever.
The WOW! Festival, run by Festival Director David Gillam, tours
around Wales and appears at Theatre Mwldan in March. WOW! features
a great selection of the very best in world cinema chosen for your
delight and delectation.
Purple Dragon Story Festival is a celebration of the story
in all its forms, with a local, national and international view
for ten days in March.
Purple Dragon Story Festival is promoted by Theatr Mwldan, Parthian
Books and Mentre Aberteifi. Most of the events take place at Mwldan
but look out for story and book events appearing across town.
In May ...
AMP Music Festival (Arts/Music/Performance)
is a new local community organisation dedicated to promoting arts,
music and performance, presented in partnership with Theatr Mwldan.
Over the bank holiday May weekend, AMP presents live performances
from many Welsh, international and local artists covering a wide
variety of musical styles. AMP also organises many free workshops
throughout the Festival weekend.
