England Is Mine (15)

Mark Gill | USA | 2017 | 94’

A portrait of Steven Patrick Morrissey and his early life in 1970's Manchester before he went on to become lead singer of seminal 80's band The Smiths. This biopic, largely focuses on Morrisey’s younger years, specifically his triumph over struggles with childhood alienation to go on to become the cult star that he is today. The film culminates in his pivotal meeting with Smith’s co-star Johnny Marr, and the rest, as they say, is history.
