The East Pointers

The East Pointers hail from Canada’s Prince Edward Island and feature banjoist/vocalist/step-dancer Koady Chaisson, fiddle player/vocalist Tim Chaisson, and guitarist/vocalist Jake Charron.

The cousins Chaisson are part of the sixth generation of heralded fiddlers from PEI.  When Jake visited the island a Canadian late-night kitchen party was sure to follow with fiddles and friends, guitars, Guinness and banjos.  As their trunk of original and traditional tunes and songs started to fill up, the trio put them to tape and took to the road.  The result is The East Pointers, who released their debut album ‘Sweet Victory’ in 2015 and have been touring the world almost constantly since then. In early 2017 they won a JUNO Award for best roots album in Canada for ‘Sweet Victory’.  Their new album will be released in autumn 2017.
