Mwldan Young People's Theatre (MYPT) is back and this time we have 3 groups so that we can work with 5 to 16 year olds.

Starting on Thursday 19 Sept in Mwldan 6 Studio, sessions will be weekly during term time on a Thursday at £60 per term for:

5 to 7 year olds  at 4 – 4.50pm 

8 to 11 year olds at 5 – 6pm 

12 to 16 year old at 6.15 – 7.30pm

MYPT offers professional drama training for young performers. Through their regular classes, members of the MYPT will develop their skills in Acting and Stage Skills, with opportunities to put their knowledge into practice through studio presentations and theatrical performances. 

Suitable for complete beginners, or for those who wish to take their performance skills to a more advanced level, in a fun, energetic and creative environment. 

We will be working with different practitioners delivering different theatre skills each term. 

This term we have Alex Crampton. Alex is an award-winning theatre director, who has worked in London, Edinburgh, Italy and the USA with companies like the Donmar and Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, before her move to Wales. She specialises in working with writers to develop new plays, and creating interactive theatre experiences. As an experienced youth theatre director and educational practitioner, Alex works with young people to stage their stories, ideas and responses to the world we live in. We are excited to welcome her to Theatr Mwldan and look forward a creative term of imaginative theatre.

Bydd Theatr Bobl Ifanc y Mwldan yn cynnig hyfforddiant drama proffesiynol i berfformwyr ifanc. Trwy ddosbarthiadau rheolaidd bydd aelodau’r Theatr yn datblygu eu sgiliau mewn Actio a Sgiliau Llwyfan, gyda chyfleoedd i roi eu sgiliau ar waith mewn cyflwyniadau stiwdio a pherfformiadau theatraidd.

Yn addas ar gyfer dechreuwyr llwyr neu’r rhai sydd am symud eu sgiliau perfformio i lefel uwch, mewn amgylchedd difyr, egnïol a chreadigol.

Byddwn yn gweithio gyda gwahanol ymarferwyr yn cyflwyno sgiliau theatr gwahanol pob tymor. Felly’r tymor hwn mae Alex Crampton yn ymuno â ni. Mae Alex yn gyfarwyddwr theatr sydd wedi ennill gwobrau, ac sydd wedi gweithio yn Llundain, Caeredin, Yr Eidal a’r Unol Daleithiau gyda chwmnïau megis Donmar ac Ysgol Frenhinol Ganolog Lleferydd a Drama, cyn iddi symud yma i Gymru. Mae’n arbenigo mewn gweithio gydag ysgrifenwyr i ddatblygu dramâu newydd, a chreu profiadau theatr rhyngweithiol.  Fel cyfarwyddwr theatr ieuenctid profiadol, mae Alex yn gweithio gyda phobl ifanc er mwyn llwyfannu eu straeon, syniadau ac ymatebion i’r byd sydd ohoni. Rydym yn gyffrous iawn i’w chroesawu i Theatr Mwldan ac edrychwn ymlaen at dymor o theatr greadigol.
